Darren Sugiyama founded DaVinci Financial in 2012 – a firm that specialized in life insurance replacements for business owners all over the country. Long before COVID-19 and the quarantine in 2020, Darren developed a unique business platform that involved 100+ agents located in seven different offices cold-calling business owners at their place of business during business hours. 100% of their transactions were done virtually over the phone using a screenshare program.

His office in Irvine, California – DaVinci’s Headquarters – housed 45-50 agents in addition to several smaller satellite offices in Hartford, Connecticut; Dallas, TX; Las Vegas, Nevada; Manhattan, New York; and Seattle, Washington.

In addition to his virtual sales model, Darren developed a worksite seminar model built to give employees of small companies access to life insurance retirement solutions that had been historically reserved for wealth business owners.

DaVinci was responsible for 25% of Pacific Life’s policy count in OC in 2017 and 38% of Penn Mutual’s policy count in 2019.

In 2021, Davinci merged with Apex, forming DSC advisor.
